cwcrosby17 Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 I recently wrecked my 91 Pioneer and bent the frame, therefore I was wanting to know if there are any other frames that would work without much trouble. I know the 4dr Cherokee is too short.
WyoCherokee Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 The Comanche is a Unibody just like the Cherokee, aside from the "bed frame" that is just an extension of the unibody rails with crossbracing. Youl have to find a new comanche, or find someone who is a really good welder to make you a new rear frame. I'm assuming you bent the rear frame rails?
cwcrosby17 Posted April 11, 2017 Author Posted April 11, 2017 The frame is bent on the front passenger side. I could just get a front clip but I don't really want to do a weld in the middle of the frame.

You don't have a choice. The front half of the MJ is, as has already been commented, a unibody. Either you weld in a new right front frame "ear," or you scrap the truck and start looking for another one. The replacement front clip can come from a Cherokee.
Pete M Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Rob did an amazing job repairing the frame horns on his XJ. can't seem to find the build thread though... :(
