So I'll try to make this short.

Bought my 91 4x4 Comanche, went to the scrap yard to get a non disconnect front D30. Turns out the 98 Front D30 I got was bent and I somehow didn't catch it in my measurements.

From what I can tell my original Vacuum Disconnect axle is straight.

I have axle shafts, Ring and Pinion, WJ knuckles, Ball joints, carrier, newer bigger 760 U Joints, everything already bought for the 98 Non Disconnect D30. Will everything work on the 91 Disconnect axle if I buy the plate to cover the hole in the housing?

I went and didn't find any other HP D30 axles. I can try back again as its been almost a month. But the only difference is the hole in the housing after I've swapped everything out. I could spend another $1000 or more and get a Currie 44 setup but it's just not in the cards at the moment.

Many people are of the opinion that the UCA mount on the disconnect axle is much stronger than the sheet metal bracket on the non-CAD axles. The only potential issue with using the CAD axle is that the passenger side of the pumpkin may not be machined to accept a seal, but other people have been able to make that work.

Go for it.
