Goose_XJ88
Looking for the factory rollbar mount that goes to the "frame". Mine is a SWB so not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks.

Bonkers
Took over a year to find my last set, My suggestion: check local junkyards for 86's. Alot of those had rollbars torn out, but the owner wouldnt even bother with the brackets. Its a long shot at best, but if youre in a hurry... ... Goose_XJ88
Not really in a hurry per say but I do want to install my roll bar. I appreciate the suggestion tho. That is really helpful info.

Pete M
just a heads up, the extra mount really isn't the most necessary thing in the world. the bar isn't going to save your head in a rollover so simply popping holes through the bed is sufficient to hold up some lights. but I always admire the hunt for factory-spec. . :MJ 1: . Goose_XJ88
That would be awesome. I don't have the time to fabricate. I know the roll bar won't help in a rollover but my truck has the holes for a factory piece. I just want it to mount like it did from the factory bc it would be more secure for the spare mount I plan on building off of the factory bar. budwisr
Ive got some and 2 lwb bars and 1 swb. I need to make some I only have the 1 pair of brackets. People leave em cause its a pita Ive learned. Soon as I make em ill sell em for cost there isnt much to it. I'm interested in a set for a LWB.
kryptronic
I'm also looking into fabbing a set, or having a set fabbed for my SWB. I've got pics of all pieces and FSM diagrams but no real measurements or CAD data appears to be available. I'd like to duplicate the factory mounts as closely as possible. Count me as interested. Bonkers
I don't think the mounts are different between beds since they mount in the same place on both styles. Not a news flash, but i don't want someone passing up on a "swb" set thinking they won't work on a "lwb"...

Mounts are the same for SWB and LWB, the bars thenselves are the only difference. What can we do to get this moving?
krustyballer16
I've built 2 sets. They're not hard at all. But I didn't use them this last time I put my rollbar back in. Not needed. I used rear backing plates inside the wheel well though, since they were super easy to install. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
