jeepdude89
Well I'm back into the MJ world! Missed having a manche so here is #4-my 10th Jeep vehicle so far in my lifetime. Drove over 1400 miles total in two days to go get it. This one is everything I've ever wanted in a MJ- 1988 4.0 5 speed 4WD shortbed, buckets, full console, AC, cargo/bed light, full gauges and the best part----- factory power windows and locks!!! I've never seen a MJ in person with them until now. It is an eliminator according to the vin and faded off stickers on the lower part of the doors and upper bed but I thought eliminators didn't have 4WD as an option until 90? I do know it came factory so has to be a special order. Plans for it are to keep it stock and make it a nice occasional dd. Doesn't need much though-only has 116,000 miles. Runs and drives great! Anyway-onto the pics!! These are what I took of it on the way home-will get better ones soon.

Minuit
Looks like someone ticked every single box on that one. 5 speed too, very nice.

Minuit
I wouldn't wanna tick that one anyway :driving: Actually, it depends at what point in the '89 model year these boxes would have been ticked.
Eagle
Very nice. I envy you for finding it.
DirtyComanche
Am I seeing rust on the rockers, or is that just the reflection? Looks like a solid truck either way.
Siopposition
So the bed/cargo light was a factory option? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk
ftpiercecracker1
Factory 4wd Renix Eliminator here too!(1990) No pwr windows or cargo light, but I got everything else.
Automan2164
Nice find! If it is a true '88 Eliminator, the 4X4 is not stock. 4X4 Elims were not offered until 1990. Rob
DirtyComanche
Pull the door apart and see if the build sheet is still in there... People are gonna want to see it.
jeepdude89
Am I seeing rust on the rockers, or is that just the reflection? Looks like a solid truck either way. It does have some rust on the rockers-but its mostly surface. Only have 3 small holes on total for both sides that I'll have to patch. The undercarriage is very solid and still has the undercoating in most spots.
jeepdude89
Pull the door apart and see if the build sheet is still in there... People are gonna want to see it. Will do. It might be under the carpet on the passenger side of the transmission hump too. That's where it is located at on my other 88 MJ that I previously owned.
