RustyRodder Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Morning chaps, Trying to figure out how to mount some bigass lights to the front of my Comanche. They were originally going to go on a rollbar (when I finally find one that fits), but going a different route there. The bumper lights I have now are worthless. The stock holes won't work, since to use them the grill will have to be cut up. Any advice? Considering right now putting together a bracket similar to the one that comes with the Detours backbone system. Lights are KC 69-series.
Knucklehead97 Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Detours Bumper Brow Lite Bar? ^this. Come January I will be getting the 30" Detour bar. I like the smaller bar more, doesn't have as much of a "look at me!" effect. Will be mounting at least 2 led pods with possibly a small LED bar in between.
HOrnbrod Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 You can fit much larger and deeper lamps on this bar..........
RustyRodder Posted December 17, 2016 Author Posted December 17, 2016 How deep of a light does it allow? the 69's have (roughly) 2" behind centerpoint of the mount.
Strokermjcomanche Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Why not make a bracket that uses the factory bumper holes and extends out so you can fit your KCs ? Unless you like the above more..

gogmorgo Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 There are holes behind those bumper nudge cap things, that a previous owner used to mount lights on my MJ. It looks a bit goofy though with lights sticking forwards out of the bumper like that, but I ran for a few years that way.
