They have a really simple circuit board inside them, and a PC Board Card socket thingy on one side. They have 3 adjuster wheels, one marked "LOW SPEED SW ADJ" one marked "CENTERING ADJ" one marked "SENSITIVITY ADJ" It's DIY project box sized doo-hickey with an AMC sticker on it, and a simple board inside with some resistors, adjustable resistors, and a chip...
