HOrnbrod
Great bird fight game - congrats to the Canadian baseball fans. :Canadaflag: In nature a blue jay usually wins against an oriole too. I hope the Jays go far in the playoffs, until, if they make it that far, the Red Sox kicks their collective azzes.
gogmorgo
What now? Is that one of those fancy sports ball things that they play on grass instead of ice?

HOrnbrod
Yuk - yuk. Since your NHL teams suck big time on the ice now, maybe it's time y'all move to the grass, eh?
gogmorgo
Meh. It's hard to like the local team when they're from Atlanta.
HOrnbrod
The Flames? Yeah, they have never been any good, mediocre at best. The Blue Jays are an excellent baseball team, well managed and their fans really support the team. Having a team up like that outside the US is good for the game. gogmorgo
No, the Jets. Literally the franchise was moved up here from Atlanta. I used to consider myself a Canucks fan but tbh I've lost interest in following most sports. Hoping to fix that this winter. I guess it's a good thing the jays are doing well, but my experience of a year at school in Ontario brings a bad taste to my mouth at mention of the team. Every game day the cafeteria served a $#!&ty version of stadium food. Boiled hotdogs as a main course is never a good thing.
yxmj
Atlanta has the great distinction of being the only city to "donate" 2 teams to Canadian cities...as mentioned above...both Calgary and Winnipeg have benefitted Nothing to do with the original post but a trivia tidbit for you.... gogmorgo
Didn't realize the Flames were from Atlanta as well. Too young to remember. Everyone is just so angry about loosing teams the other direction, even though it hasn't happened for quite some time.

I wish Atlanta would donate the Braves and Falcons to Canada too. They would play much better if their fans were anything like the Blue Jays' fans. Atlanta fans suck.......
