HOrnbrod
anyone have installed some sort of amplifier circuit on the CPS? weak signal seems to be a common problem even with brand new units... That's a Renix problem only. On an HO the CPS either works or it don't.
desbennett004
anyone have installed some sort of amplifier circuit on the CPS? weak signal seems to be a common problem even with brand new units...Haven't heard anything like that. Didn't know there was a problem with them, until Cruiser shared his tip about slotting the holes on the sensors mounting brackets. It works awesome, runs even better than before I did the Trans swap. cruiser54
Did you check the CPS output after the mod?
Jeep Driver
anyone have installed some sort of amplifier circuit on the CPS? weak signal seems to be a common problem even with brand new units... I think that is a common problem with SMP units (and others). I could have pointed you to a OEM CPS.

According to my buddy in field engineering at Chrysler it's a supplier problem across the board.
1988gecko
I have a 5 speed 1988 pioneer and it bogs down at idle, almost dies, I'm gonna check the fuel pressure this week once I get the time but. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
desbennett004
Fuel pressure between 31 and 40 psi, check MAP sensor, check CPS. That's what has worked for me. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
