89 MJ rock crawler project

Bought my MJ last October and have done a good amount of upgrades since then. Planning on a lot more obviously. So far:

4.5" rustys off-road SOA lift

 

35" MXTs

 

NJ fab shop custom winch bumper

 

Few stickers for horsepower haha

 

Horn blasters train horn for a little fun

 

New paint job to replace the faded maroon

 

Planning on: JK Dana 44s (currently have a back axle off a 2012 JK)

 

4.88 or 5.13 gears

 

37" trepadors

 

8" Clayton off-road 3 link long arm lift

 

Hanneman fiberglass fender flares

 

nates 4x4 Rock sliders and back bumper

 

Rustys off-road. skid plates

The issue with those is that the only difference with those D44's and D30's are the axle shafts...the ring and pinion are not like the full size JK ones, only minutely larger than the D30 ones. So if you have the means, get a real D44 thats from a full size and make your own mounts (stronger ones)

Yea I was looking for a 78-79 f250 d44 most likely.

nice looking MJ, just curious to as why you trimmed your front fenders like that though?

To fit the 35s better and the body was rusted under the stock fenders so I took them off an cut the rust out
