Ωhm
Theoretically speaking, OP could run a wire from B+ to D1-5. Tie it down. But this would be extremely dangerous and could cause vehicle damage.
Appstate97
I'll work on replacing fusible links off of the starter motor relay with 25-30 amp fuses. I'll updates once finished. Thanks for all the help.

Thanks for all the help. Why not test the continuity of the links. Fuses are a bad idea.

Appstate97
Cruiser this is great info. Thanks. I checked the fusible links for voltage and continuity. The destroyed fusible link had no voltage and had no continuity. Also, I found another fusible link that was in rough shape. I'll run by the auto parts store and get replacement fusible links. Appstate97
I replaced the fusible link and checked over everything with a meter to confirm that power was flowing. Once confirmed, I put everything back together and took her for a test drive. Thanks for all the help.

Appstate97
Just a quick update. After a few short test drives the truck was driving better than ever. I pulled into the driveway and jumped out to open the garage when I smelled wires burning. I am going to look at the damage tomorrow and am praying that it isn't that bad. I am prepared for the worst and placed a wanted ad on CC for a complete wiring harness, computer, sensors, etc. Also, on Monday I'll start calling the junkyards. If you know of someone with a wiring harness leftover from a swap let me know. If you have any other ideas for a fix I'd be happy to listen and try. Jeep Driver
It really is not that difficult to open up your harness and inspect and replace wiring and connectors. It would be a great learning experience for you, it was for me.

Appstate97
I appears that the following are damaged: B+ latch relays (4) C106 C107 C104 C109 C103 C105 C335
Appstate97
It appears that the damaged wiring went as far as the middle of the radiator and towards possibly splice E on the firewall.

Appstate97
Yeah. A CC member said he had a complete harness out of an 88 including computer. I asked if he had the B+ relays, starter relay, fusible links, and connectors. I'm waiting on his answer. Would an 88 harness work?

HOrnbrod
Looks like a hell of a short happened, the fusible link down the line didn't open in time, and everything fried until it finally blew. Fusible links suck........
Appstate97
What's my best plan of action? Get a 87 harness with everything attached and get to work? Would the 88 harness work? Or is it easier to run all new wires?
Ωhm
Your between a rock and a hard place. Tough to find out what went wrong. Two, three days of running just fine. Do one or more of the fuse links have bubbles in it? Even if they do, hard to sort out which feed they are. Can you determine if its one circuit, one splice, one color code or is there to much damage? All kinds of questions now.
Appstate97
I'm gonna drink a cold one tonight and start on the diagnostic work tomorrow. I'll post pictures and seek more assistance.
