CMMagnussen Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Looking for some stiffer coil springs for my 87 MJ. anything from the big 3 bolt in? Even if it gives up to 4" of lift I can live with it.......... Thank Ya much
DirtyComanche Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 How stiff? F-150 coils from the eary (radius arm) trucks bolt in. I think they give about 4.5", but can be trimmed down a bit. Ford thunderbird (V6, I think) coils will give about 3.5~ of lift, and are a bit stiffer plus variable rate. V8 ZJ coils are a bit stiffer and give 1.5"~
CMMagnussen Posted June 21, 2007 Author Posted June 21, 2007 J-20 stiff? F-150 springs sound promising.....
offroader461 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 stock F150 coils give that much lift really?? Wow i have a spare set i might put in if they are not too stiff
Pete M Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 if they are not too stiff That's the kicker right there. Those coils are designed to hold up a lot more weight than an MJ.
