ROADLESS
Have you checked your trackbar? There should be no 'play' in it :wrench:
jp4lo
I bet you can see where the track bar bolt at the axle end has been shifting around under stress. It can be a tough one to keep tight. I've had luck w/ grade 8's and red loctite.
mfpdm
Is it a single clunk or a series of clunks? Also at what point does it start and stop? Have you check your spring buckets? I had the spring bucket come loose on another vehicle and it would clunk when turning.
MiNi Beast
I would check trac bar too. Also, do you still run the sway bar? The sway bar clunks into the coilsprings if you don't move the sway bar mounts up a inch.

I'll do it before soemone else does; :thwak: MJ doesn't have the same set up. :fool:
89eliminator
the track bar is tight and doesn't have any play. could it be the shocks?
87manche
I don't see why the shocks would clunk only when turning. They should clunk anytime you hit anything rough as well. A few more questions: Can you feel the clunk through thw wheel? Can you feel the clunk under the floorboards? Do you have swaybar disconnects? Have you checked all of the TRE's for play? Does the steering wheel have a dead spot?
Eagle
Whose lower control arms do you have in? At stock height I had a clunk in the '87 MJ, and replacing the driver's side LCA cured it. Rusty's adjustable control arms are notorious for clunking.

Eagle
yes i do have rustys adjustable arms. Now how did he know that? I don't think there's a cure. Wear thick socks and turn up the stereo.
