NHMJXJ
Anyone know what this stuff is? Looks like a receiver hitch on the front of this XJ. Is it to tow the Jeep itself, or does it serve some other purpose? There's also a fairly large blue connector. I was guessing that was to hook it to an RV lighting system? Finally, what's on the head liner? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jeep-Cherokee-SPORT-/381305879819?forcerrptr=true&hash=item58c799fd0b&item=381305879819#ht_38666wt_925
Jeep Driver
My Curt receiver just came today, too tired to install it tonight. Recovery point. But in the case of the XJ, yeah, might have been behind a RV.
jimoshel
Lots 'of people with boats mount a receiver hitch on the front of their trucks so they can drive forward while loading, unloading their boat.
Minuit
Looks like a really nicely cared for XJ. Wonder how that hitch is mounted.
Incommando
I have seen several but I have never looked at the mounting. I have seen more than one used for a winch mount
dunnc1991
I have seen several but I have never looked at the mounting. I have seen more than one used for a winch mount I agree with this. Blue plug looks a lot like a winch plug.
NHMJXJ
The seller's not much help. The response was, "I don't know, sorry". One would think they might have that information. :shake:
