ok thanks just wasnt sure if they were a universal relay. going to replace them eventually cause they say ford on them.

Seems like a little sandpaper would be cheaper if that's all that's wrong with 'em.

I hate ford don't trust anything they make even as simple thing as a relay sanding the ford logo off the relay (if thats what your saying) would just be polishing a turd imo. I doubt these 2 ford relays came stock with the jeep

CHeesh!! I've never cared much for Chrysler, but I bought a Jeep only a few years after Chrysler took them over. I can guarantee you that Ford did NOT make those relays. When you toss them have a look and they probably say "Made in China"  .... the very same thing your new ones will say, regardless of "brand."

But hell, if it makes you feel better .......

From what bowels of hell did you pull that XJ from ... !?!

Only my header harness plug was that bad and I swapped to the '00 harness plug when I did my header panel swap. I'm afraid to think what the rest of that vehicle is like.

I have found, Every 5 years or so it is good to pull those relays and check all the connectors out around the truck. Little sand paper and some electric contact cleaner, there yea go. Owning a Comanche I find this is the only real problem is the electrical wiring and connectors. Mechanically not had any issues other then wear and tear replacement. These truck's last forever as long as you keep electrical in check!

87 Cherokee. They always look like that when they've never been refreshed in my experience.
