Just like it states.   Want a cleaner/smoother look and was looking at swapping a front grill and bumper assy to my 88, 2wd pickup.

First and biggest looks to be the wrap around bumper/lower valance interfering with the '88's front fender section..

Does anyone know if this can be accomplished?

THanks E

The newer header panel is rounded where the stocker is angled. They look weird with the stock fenders and newer header. You will also have to cut your fenders to use the newer style bumper.

Yep, 2000 XJ header and fenders (the old 88's fit fine but didn't match properly) still has stock bumper but I removed the side caps, and uses the stock 88 flares (trimmed on front edge) and antenna. The later model end caps can be made to fit the early bumper (I just plan to use a trimmed JK bumper instead so never bothered).

Definitely get the fenders to match the header panel. Unfortunately, my MJ is 4 different colors currently, but if you check out my build thread there is 97-up header panel, fenders, hood and doors. The doors are not just plug n pray.

Thanks Guys.

i'll try and get back there to get the fenders. It was a CLEAN Cherokee Sport that I'm getting parts from. Glad I don't have to do the hood too..

Just gotta finish this '88 Cherokee tilt column swap that turned into a 2 day job.

(Thought I was going to do the '95 brake booster/master, Pwr steering box, vent window swap in one day but NO)

I'm praying that I get it finished for work tomorrow.

Thanks again.
