Xdt
Hello, As stated in the subject please help identify this connector. There are three wires Blue/black, Yellow/black and Tan. The blue/black wire is not connected (looks as if it was cut) and i cannot find the wire it should connect, nor can I find the mate for the harness connector. I have searched the schematics with no luck. Thank you
jimoshel
What year is the truck? Is the harness under the hood? The dash? or looks like in the pic, behind the seat? Just off hand I would take a wild guess and say it's a speaker lead.
Zebvance
wouldn't have 3 wires if it was. Looks like there is a positive, negative, and signal. I'm thinking its to a light. hood light?
Xdt
Guys my apologies for not being more descriptive. My truck is an 87 I6 4wd 5 speed. The harness is located under dash and is near the accelerator and ECU. I did find a black ground wire that isn't attached to a connector, however did not think it would attach to the blue/black wire in the above photo. 88whitemanche
The question is why is it out the engine bay? It could be the connector for the automatic transmission in which you don't have... Edit: Didn't read complete...disregard my response
yxmj
I think it was connected to the emissions maintenance timer? PO probably took it out to shut off the light.... :dunno:
