Mirfster Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Would think that there may be some nice parts still for someone? http://bham.craigslist.org/cto/4895831662.html
ggcnash Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Yea but if it was closer I would offer scrap price and pick this up if engine has good compression it's worth that
Bonkers Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Hell, i see $500 in parts from here, just not the $1700 in parts that would justify me driving down to get it...
ggcnash Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I'm gonna make a call to this guy just so happens I'm headed to Florida in a couple weeks.
Comancheman86 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 So sad to see something like this, if it really is a 92, this trick could bring some money in decent condition
ggcnash Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Emailed no reply as of yet I'm gonna try to pick this thing up
HOrnbrod Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 No way this has been an Alabama truck it's whole life. Unless it was parked at Gulf Shores at low tide when Katrina came in. Sure would like to see a VIN check on this thing............
ggcnash Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 As soon as he contacts me I will get some info sent 2nd email this morning
ggcnash Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Just hate when people say email only and do not respond to emails!
Minuit Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Hey, look on the bright side. There is an apparently working 4wd AX-15 and 4.0 in there and possibly some interior parts. Even knowing that I'd have a hard time paying 550 for it. Pretty much no way it's an Alabama truck. Alabama trucks look like mine underneath.
Mirfster Posted March 14, 2015 Author Posted March 14, 2015 Man that is too bad they won't even reply to their own ad. I'll shoot him an e-mail, if he replies to me I will tell him to check his e-mail for yours... :)
Mirfster Posted March 22, 2015 Author Posted March 22, 2015 Ack, posting is gone. Never got a response from the seller either.
monkbonk Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Oops. I'm the guy with the salty Comanche. It's from Michigan, so that's why it is so eaten with rust. I have pulled the AX-15 and transfer case now. I want to keep the 4.0 if at all possible. Sorry for not replying to those emails. I had too many people ask me if they could drive the thing home or come up and subsequently pass on it due to rust. So far, I have been offered $550 for the transmission and transfer case. Not sure if they guy will come through though.
teamsmith Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 I saw your ad in the classifieds; so you're asking more for your transmission than you were for the whole truck?
monkbonk Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 The transmission and transfer case are already sold (Saturday). I have to account for my labor of removing them. I figured that since most of the above folks like to lowball on an already decently priced parts truck (hence the existence of this thread), I would inflate the price to account for that. That might have been the reason for so few replies. I do not respond to $300 offers, nor a candid "is this still available" email.
