tylergrant2011
1987 commanche losing compression through o rings I think and you can twist 2/6 injectors easy. Runs then shuts off
oldseddie
If you're losing compression it's not the injectors. Rings or valves or hole in piston come to mind.

gogmorgo
The fuel in the rail is under pressure, yes. Is it being compressed? Not really, but that's just semantics. If your injector o-rings are leaking enough to cause running problems, there would be a noticeable fuel leak. X2 on Cruiser's Renix Tips.
tylergrant2011
If you can't lose compression through o rings on injector head why does air push out the sides of the rings when the piston is coming up near tdc?
oldseddie
Burned or leaking intake valves.
tylergrant2011
Hey that makes sense
gogmorgo
The injectors are in the intake, not the head. If you're compressing air into the intake, you've got bigger problems than leaking injectors. Bad intake valves/seals, as suggested... Or else you're turning the engine backwards... tylergrant2011
I'm having a crank no start issue. It tries to start for a second but then dies. I'm getting spark to all plugs and fuel to all cylinders.

A-man930
+1 for ballast resistor. If that is bad the fuel pump will quit once the key is out of the "crank" position.
Crash
As others have mentioned, this is a common issue with the ballast resistor failing. It is on the driver side inner fender in front of the egr vacuum solenoid. Disco the wires and jumper them together. If necessary, a paper clip will work for this. Then try to start/run it. If it runs, you found your problem. You can permanently bypass this without issue. Or you can buy a new one and hope it doesn't fail.
