Eye Behold
As the title states, I traced the leak to an open hole at the bottom of the manifold and am guessing EGR? What am i missing and where do I buy it? Any help would be appreciated. I am in the 4 corners area, a good 2 hours from a city that would have parts, so I'm planning on ordering online if possible. Jeep Driver
How does it even run? or does it?
Jeep Driver
I take it you do not have the pipe? to make a plug with?- Image Not Found You can take the EGR off and make a blank for it- Image Not Found Or you can order a new pipe and EGR. I would not think that gas should be coming out of that hole though......but 4.0 intakes may be different than the 2.5 in the way the EGR is set up. Eye Behold
it runs fine, i started it this morning to warm it up and noticed the drip. Do not have the pipe to make the plug with. I'm sure someone out here knows more about getting it fixed, but wanted to see what I could find out. First time I've had anything happen to this truck so I was excited to text the forum. haha thank you for the info and photos. I've got a retired mechanic that lives near by, so I'll show him the photos and see if he wants to help me fix it.

Eye Behold
If I can't find the part easily and quickly Stroker, I will message you and buy it off you, or trade you something. Spoke with a buddy who said regardless of the plug, my leak is most likely because of the injectors. He said a guy here sells Volvo injectors that work better than the Jeep or other brands, so I'll follow up with him tomorrow and take a closer look at my injectors. ftpiercecracker1
Maybe i am being dense here, but how on earth can the truck run normally with such a massive vacuum leak??
Brickmiata
Mine ran "normally" with an equally large vac leak that was actually a few ports on the manifold uplugged. I did not notice it idling or running rough but power and fuel mileage were both down a bit. Also an 87 4.0. It seems to keep running no matter what is unhooked or unplugged.
