Dom U Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 What's the best differential oil for. Dana 35c? Thank you.
Jeep Driver Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 I'm running 50/50 Lucas and Havoline 40
Dom U Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 This is also a rookie question but how much oil do will I need about a qt?
xjrev10 Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Get yourself a Haynes or Chiltons manual. It will tell you all you need to know about this type of thing. Just over a quart I believe. Plain ol 80w90 will be fine.
HOrnbrod Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 ^^ Agree. The D35 holds 3.5 pints using the stock cover.
Dom U Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 Thanks guys. I actually have a Haynes I just left it 2 hours away with my uncle won't be there till Saturday ):. Thanks for the help guys (:
benjy_26 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I'm not too familiar with the Track Lock diff, but IF you have one, you may need some sort of friction modifier.
big66440 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 I just did my spider gears and refilled it with 80w-90, been good so far no issues aside from my garage still smelling like gear oil :ack:
