Generally speaking...What does an AX-15 tranny cost?

$655 from Advance Adapters. They claim that is for a new one. You also need to figure in price for clutch assembly, I don't know $ for this :-D .

car-part.com will give you a hint of what a junkyard charges. Don't forget that the most expensive ones seem to be at the top of the list. Oh, and the different eras of AX-15s are listed separate, so you'll need to search for multiple years. 94 or 95+ are the external slave units.

You can buy my 89 MJ with the ax15, for a reasonable price. even comes with other pars as well :D

check ebay ive found several rebuilt ax15's for $600

or you can order a new one for $1200 after $300 core

shoot auto zone can even get you one

ive got one on the work bench just needs a rebiuld kit even has the bell housing soppost to replace the one in my jeep that has a hole in it

I paid $69 with no core and it included the shifter, mount, and CPS at my local UPull. :D
