kurt MJ
Hi guys i want to introduce my Jeep Comanche from Baja California here are some pictures about the process of this great project. I hope to be the Comanche of the Month I bought this MJ in San Bernardino CA. i paid 500$ DLLS for it Stick Shift 2WD :( After some work , love and money now is Automatic and 4WD i lost the pictures of the process :( Now looks like a project body shop Nice paint now needs lift , wheels and tires 4.5 lift kit arrive :) Its time to get some new shoes :) Everything is uggly, dirty and rusty here i think this need some work Here in Mexicali Baja California we have a very famous desert (Laguna Salada) is very famous beacuse Luciano Pavarotti sing here one time also we have very famous off road races From CODE and the Baja 500 and 1000 but the most popular thing about this desert is because a lot of people die here :( because the wheater is very very hot here in summer is like 47 sometimes 50 'C a lot of people whoe drives here to do camping or something sometimes the car broke and they need to walk in the middle of the desert to the highway but if you don't have a compass you get lost and the wheather kills you for this reason some years back the government and some citizen make a project to build towers this towers have a radio so if you get lost you can talk directly to the police station and they send you a rescue team and at night this towers have on the top amber and white strobes also this towers have water to drink and for the radiator. In july 2013 we went to the towers in the middle of the summer of course with 2 meter radios a lot of water and gps and everything we need for a journey like this to search if the towers stil have water and this is the story. The bed is almost full of water i think we are ready Here in the entrance of the dessert We reach the towers need a lot of water 50 miles away fron the Highway in the middle of the desert in the way back we saw a very little dot far away when we go just for curiosity we found a lost family with 2 days there stuck and very dehydrated so we give them water very quickly and we call to the authorities to report this family and also to know if they have a report of missing and yes they have it, after they drink water we tow the cars a little so they can drive and we scort them to the entrance of the Highway We scort them to the Highway After a long drive finally we are on the main entrance the father is crying they live was a very sad moment but happy and the same time is very great experience to live something like that to save a life After the rescue and put the gallons of water on all the towers lets celebrate with some delicious Carne Asada Tacos Next day ohh surprise we are heros in the local news paper my comanche is in the picture :):) :) Some pictures in San Felipe Baja California Lets participate in the poker run here at our local Sand Dunes Lets cross the little lake with mud Just another day ;) I hope you enjoy this adventure I'm going to keep uploading more pictures of this project a lot of good things are coming hope to be a candidate for the Comanche of the Month thanks every one and sorry for my english is not my first lenguage :(
