Comanche County
Here's a new MJ I recently picked up in TX. It's been sitting for 20 years. It's a 2wd 87' Sportruck with a 4cyl/4spd. Someone previously did me a favor by pulling the rear D35 and stripping most of the engine. That made pulling it a little easier. When I get it back to GA I'm gonna try to knock it out quickly. I've got a ZJ 5.9 and assorted parts in the garage. I'm gonna keep it 2wd so I'll have to source a 2wd 46RE/RH for it. This is the hot rod MJ build thats been brewing in the back of my mind for a while. Hopefully I can get it going soon. I'm thinking of a very bare bones harness for the engine and headlights and instruments and not much else. Here's a few pics. When I get back to my computer I'll tidy things up with the post. Had to clear some junk out of the way to get to it... My cousin on the forklift getting it on the trailer. The 5.9 ZJ earning its keep pulling another jeep home. The PO had a barn full of all sorts of cool tractors, trucks and hot rods. A Cummins powered AutoCar, extremely cool! The property had plenty of old trucks and 5 tons. Okay back to the MJ... Stopped by the neighbors and pulled the engine/trans. It's good to have redneck friends who'll let you come over unannounced and pull an engine in their driveway. They had an a frame just sitting there waiting for me, haha. It's out... Cleaned out the bed. It also has a black interior! Alright, my first phone tapatalk post hope it shows okay. I'll try to keep the build posted when I get back to GA. Jeep on!
Comanche County
Can't get the doors open enough with it on the trailer to fit my fat butt inside to clean it out. Haha. That'll have to wait.

Comanche County
Had to take my old man to a VA appt in Temple today. After that I went to pull a few MJ parts. Went to the same yard in Belton and same MJ that I got the blue tailgate from. It's in 1000x better shape than mine, kinda of a shame its in the yard. It had a black column so I pulled it, the taillights screws wouldn't budge so I left em...also I needed a leaf spring. This red one only has one present...but again, the eye bushings were rust welded to the bolts and I was tired of crawling around in the dirt so I gave up...I'll have to find another spring elswhere. Also, I had already pulled some offset D44s for a separate Willys build, but couldnt get them out from under the FSJ I unbolted them from...got the yard guys to fork em for me, I'm too old and broke to be heavin axles around any more, a 12 pack of coors light got em loaded for me.
