dscowell Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I was thinking about picking up Fabtech's spare tire mount and was curious as to if anyone has any experience with one of these and their opinion on it. From reading the reviews it sounds like the only down fall is the bolts it comes with are too small which is no big deal sense new bolts only cost around $2 http://www.amazon.com/Fabtech-FTT10002BK-Angled-Spare-Mount/dp/B000CMD3HI#productDetails
ComancheKid45 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Wow for that kinda money id just find an OEM YJ/TJ Rear carrier, bolt in in your bed and use the rest of the cash to buy a spare tire/wheel to store there ;)

JeepcoMJ Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 *since*, not *sense*. And that is a worthless mount. Maybe it's constructed well, maybe it's not. but everyone I know who has had a Baja style mount (including me) has hated them after awhile. It would take an hour for a mediocre welder to make. But it just takes too much space.

Traded the TJ a couple weeks ago, forgot to give it to the dealer LOL. PM if interested. Jeff
JeepcoMJ Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Remember, there are more KJ ones available than TJ ones, and they are the right bolt pattern
ComancheKid45 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 YJ and TJ 1s are identical last i knew.....but I'm not 100% certain
benjy_26 Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 How are y'all mounting your TJ/KJ tire carriers? Flat on the bed?
