Hej Micke,

Välkommen! Jag talar också lite svenska ...

Always nice to see someone else from around here.

Although you probably live at least 1.000 kilometres from here.

Greetings from Belgium, Joris.

Edit : there's a Norwegian forum-member too I believe.

His nickname is 512tr or something like that.

It's a replica that I have build on my own.

It took me 4,5 year from the day I started to cut tubes to the day it was accepted by The Swedish Vehicle Inspection Company.

I have done everything on my own except painting.

It has a Fiat Twin-cam engine 1995 cm3 and 130 hp.

It looks very nice Micke. I like it!!!!! I like that chrome front bumper and grille.

Is it a "for export" version or "for non regulated markets"?

I have a 1988 with the 2,5 lts in Argentina for this condition.

I am an Argentine forum member.

I am sorry that I didn't read this post sooner.

My tip would have been to support your jeep with some tall and strong jack stands.

Then undo your u-bolts (I just cut them off)

Then undo brake line, and e-brake cables.

Then undo rear shackle mount at the axle.

Then roll the axle back.

Then bolt rear shackle back up

Position rear axle under leaf spings, with spring perches set in place

Aim pinion at the back of the t-case, loosley bolting the u-bolts in place.

Remove jackstands.

Check pinion angle at ride height. Adjust as needed

Tack weld, then remove axle again to preform finsih weld. For strength I recommend plating the front and rear of the spring perches.

After that you will find that your stock shock location (long bed) will be pretty useless. Then make or buy new shock mounts.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. I am sure I forgot a few steps, but this swap can be accomplished in a few hours if you have all the parts and the skills to do it.

Nice bumper design, glad to see you have big plans for it. Thinking about axle upgrades and tire combos yet?!

Also, I can't see but red X's on any pics other than the stock one of ur MJ....

They work for me.

Nice bumper design. Are you going to just bend steel sheets?
