jimoshel Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Anybody got any suggestions, or good advice on how to repair a cracked bed liner? I'm thinking about getting a regular fiberglass boat repair kit but thought I'd ask first.
JeepcoMJ Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Plastic? Old spade type soldering iron, use it for a plastic welder.
Eagle Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 They aren't made of fiberglass. You need a repair kit for Royalex. (That's a trade name -- I don't remember what the generic name is for the stuff.)
yxmj Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Adhesive for ABS or PVC pipe would be a good guess if it was just a crack..... :???:

Eagle Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014  ABS ... of course. "Royalex" is ABS. http://www.amazon.com/Plasti-Mend-Plastic-Repair-Holding-Tank/dp/B003JC3UB2 http://plasti-mend.com/ http://www.plastex.net/index.php?pr=Repaired_Photos
64 Cheyenne Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Search "ABS repair" ...think I've seen people use scrap interior panel pieces as "filler rod/material" in their repairs. Then welded as JeepcoMj said.
