13 Legion
Note..If your selling your truck and taking pictures....CLEAN OUT THE CAB!!!!!!! On the pricey side. Personal pride of a vehicle says alot. I've seen cleaner port-o-johns on the job site. I'd say keep looking, to steep of a price

13 Legion
Hey Jake don't get too discouraged. Look around this site. A lot of helpful members here, Check out the classified section here too. You can find a Comanche here( usually from a club member) at a resonable price, or they can point you in the right direction. What type, year, option ect.. are you looking for? I'm taking it your in the Michigan area if you posted a Grand Rapids craigslist ad? There's a Comanche out there for ya...stay motivated!!

Minuit
$3500 would be slightly less ridiculous if it had a better rear bumper and tailgate. If they didn't go through the effort of cleaning it before taking pics you don't know (and probably will find out at the worst time) what else they didn't do. People who don't keep their trucks clean usually don't treat them too nicely mechanically and otherwise. That said, it is in the north so it's surprising that the rockers and wheel wells haven't started to go yet. That said, it is well set-up and would make a great driver. I'm sure there's someone out there who would pay $3500 so starting at that price is understandable for the seller.
91Pioneer
The price is on the high side as an asking price, even if it's been well maintained and runs good. No 25 year old truck will be perfect, no matter what you buy will need a bit of work. For what it's worth, I paid $2500 for my 88 Pioneer this month, 4x4 5 speed, with 146K miles and it's a short box with a few rust spots. But it needs probably $500 worth of work which I knew going into it.
dasbulliwagen
That does seem way high especially for a not particularly well cared for Michigan truck. I'm originally from Battle Creek and that looks like a nice truck for the area but I bet the floors are shot. I'm biased too because I paid a total of $375 for the two MJ's I have, one of which was and is a driver. I got lucky though. I know pickings will be thin up there though, so if this truck is as nice as it looks it might still be your best option. Good luck and let us know how it turns out! glundblad
Keep in mind these can have rust problems. Mine is located in the Ft Wayne, IN area and the only thing that saved it was that it had 87k miles. My floorboards and frame were clean but the body had problems. If you are willing to spend that kind of money, look to the southern states and you will get something much cleaner for the same money. Also, as was implied in the above post, if they can't take the time to clean out the cab so that it doesn't looks as if it is used as a trash can, what do the fluids look like? Then again, maybe the fluids aren't a problem. Maybe there aren't any? :)
Jake0224
I looked at it yesterday and the interior was in great shape, unlike the body.
Incommando
If you see things like "RARE!" in all caps you can pretty much figure you are reading a ton of bull because 99% of the time the item really isn't RARE! What is rare about it? The 5-speed? Not really. And '89 was one of the biggest selling years of the MJ. As far as MJ's go there is nothing rare there. Not a bad $1,200-$1,500 truck

JeepcoMJ
I'm looking to buy my first MJ and was wondering is this is a fair price. https://grandrapids.craigslist.org/cto/4330425649.html Short answer, no. Long answer, it isn't a fair market so that is actually reasonable. You don't find the deals when you are actually looking.
