What Would Cc Members Do With This Axle??

Honestly I have seen usable front ends sell for under $100. You would have well over $100 in buying and fixing that one. IMHO the only value for that front that remains is for donor parts. The axle shafts might be worth a little as spares if they aren't CAD.... I have never seen a market for used CAD stuff around here as no one wants to keep that CAD. If the axle was originally from an MJ the shafts are not very desirable as the MJ had the small 260 axle u-joints. I think what you have there is scrap metal because if it is that rusted what is the unseen condition of the shafts, unit bearings, brakes parts, cover, etc?

OR... Jeepspeed brackets and a rebuild could be thrown in that thing. For some weird reason, Jeep (any jeep) running gear in my area seems to be selling as if it's covered in gold and gems. I'd probably take a gamble on a $55 axle, if it were local and I could pick it up.

I had it up on the list earlier.  No luck.  I also had the cab.  Which I'm cutting up if anybody wants pieces other than the floor.  The cab has been stripped completely.  All but the back window.

I need the cab corner on the passenger side from the door & wrapped around the back of the cab past the pinched seem and up at least to the body line below the window. Everything I have found available around here is not really worth the work of using due to rust. I think shipping it would be difficult and expensive from Massachusetts but if you were willing to try and ithat piece is pretty solid what would you want for it?

.Here is what I need:

It is a $400 truck so I have never pursued any high-dollar fixes for this.

My uncle needed to mount about 4 mailbox`s for him and his neighbors he took a old scout axle stuck one end in the ground put a tire and wheel on the other. Mounted a round piece of plywood on it and attached the 4 boxs this was 25 years ago maybe more.  Its still in use today turns like the day he built it. If anyone wants I can get a picture of it its kinda cool.

Incom- I'll take a look and let you know.

sinkrun-  That would be a good idea but I think my neighbor's would whine about the junk mailbox.  It's bad enough I have a nascar slick mounted through the mailbox box post already.  lol
