Mocking up the parts on new HP Dana 30. Clayton 3 link truss, Solid diff cover, Clayton LCA skid mounts, Arctec C Gussets, Arctec track bar bracket, Clayton high steer sway bar mounts. Rusty's coil buckets and shock mounts on order.

Jeep is currently at a shop having the rockers and floors finished. I did as much as I could but when it came to the details and finish of matting the cab body corners up to the rockers I simply wasn't doing a good job. Found an excellent custom shop who is willing to help. The final product will look much better than my skill level is at right now, and I can finish the axle while the Jeep is in the shop. 05a7e87cfc206bcf2bcab842c311274f.jpg

Lots of progress lately. Front axle is finalized, painted, and ready for parts. Floor pans finally got finished by the local shop and I just put on Eastwood's seam sealer all around. The underside, where the shop had to make new floor mounts, did not line up well at all and wasn't finish welded. While cleaning that up I got the Spandano tube steps on, you can see the frame braces in the pic. Oh. Also T&M frame stiffeners welded on, you can see them on the underside of the frame rail. POR15 next! Also, mocked up the D&C Roll cage, but that's for another day.....17cda5c94eeb09cd661cdef37f0cc943.jpg6fa1f1ad335250b02a9649a4a3f38538.jpg00d0b1d864c2f868c55a531e4b473255.jpg17ac7692043d68d3d690a870f357c8bb.jpg

Big weekend! I finally installed the front lift and front axle. Clayton 8" ProSeries 3 Link Long Arm kit, Yukon Free Spin Dana30 locking hubs, switched the wheels to fit the new 5x5.5 bolt pattern. Sitting nearly level. The back is maybe 3in higher, but I expect it will level with bumper, fuel, spare tire, etc.

I need some help troubleshooting shooting this lift......So the long arms are adjusted as short as they can go for both lowers as well as the upper. However, you can see in the pics the axle is maybe 1.5-2in too far forward.

I think this is because I welded on new LCA mounts when building the axle and probably lined them up too far back, but they don't look too far off.

Clayton says with this lift the LCAs should be around 36in. Measured now they are at min length 35.25in.

Is 1.5-2in forward going to be ok?

Also, I plan on going with Clayton's double shear trackbar bracket on the frame and doing a custom trackbar off the highest bolt hole on the axle. Would this help the front end align better? The pictures below are to show the coils bent left and right. As well as the forward orientation of the axle as a whole.

Oh the old LCA brackets are definitely gonna go. I have the rest of the frame stiffiners to install upfront. I'm just waiting on the Clayton Trac Bar bracket to weld on before I finish that.

Also, I think I came up with a plan. I'm going to get some ACOS adjusters for the front. It will level the front with the rear better, and the increased lift should rotate the axle back more, closer to direct under the spring. But it is good to know a few inches forward shouldn't be an issue.

Next will be ACOS, Trac Bar, steering and see how everything lines up/flexes!!

what you're looking for is that the bumpstop meets the pad when the tire goes up and doesn't bind the coil.  adding more lift won't change that.   but it's hard to check travel without the trackbar installed.
