randomguy310 Posted June 5, 2014 Share Posted June 5, 2014 my whole point was that the 4.0L didn't come with out a elect fan.. they are designed to have them they will not have enough cooling.. that was my point.. do some research and you will see from the factory all had elect fan.. Your whole point is wrong. You do some research - if no A/C option was selected - NO electric fan included with the 4.0. I'm sure there were exceptions available from the dealership as there always are, but here is an excerpt from the 1988 MJ factory spec sheet stating the A/C option content. That's why it's called an auxiliary electric fan - not standard equipment on all 4.0 MJ models. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also, you can NOT associate 4.0 with 2.5 cooling. The 87 and up 2.5 used an adapter mount to put a 2.5 radiator onto a 4.0 core support, but nothing other than the front crossmember and header panel support are even close to the same.
