hey all, i'm introducing my first truck i have ever owned.  its an 89 pioneer, 2.5l 2wd shortbed.  its not perfect, and it has tons of issues.  but i picked it up for 700 bucks so I'm not complaining too much.

I'm finding out this truck is made of lego's.  it seems like it is an 89 comanche body, with a 89-90 cherokee interior wiring harness, a 91-95 2.5l engine, with the older style TBI. wtsf????

That's a TBI Renix...........not a multiport Chrysler.

Nice start. On a lot of the older jeeps you will find some one has replaced the engine with a newer one but converted it to the earlier configuration. This way they don't have the need to swap wiring, sensors, etc, etc, associated with the newer engine.

fixing the broken exhaust stud.  and waiting for motor mounts in the mail.  

 

any tips on how to clean off the 1/2" of grease on the trans/block?

Purple power, that stuff does wonders, also carb and throttle body cleaner, may sound weird, but it does work.

i got a surprise from this truck today :/

 

 

 

the slave cylinder blew the line right out of the housing :/

 

replacing master, slave, clutch, hose, and rear main when the funds permit.  

 

also going to replace the downpipe, cat, muffler, and tail pipe

wow its been a while.  this truck now looks like this

 

 

 

 

 

 

picked up a set of 31's just to get me around. once this motor dies, i will build this truck to what i want.
