I ordered my '88 without the radio.  It came with antenna installed.  I slapped in an aftermarket cassette deck with speakers, plugged in the factory antenna lead and was good to go.

Mine came with a plug in the hole in the fender. All the wiring for a radio were still there just no radio and no antenna. I had to remove the block off plate to install a factory radio. The radio fuse was already in the fusebox too.

I was thinking of getting a hidden antenna and remove mine, so was wondering if an OEM plug existed. I can easily make something but would like it to look stock.

Yes, they exist. It's a factory part and costs about $3 - $4. I can PM you the info where to get it if you want. Part #11 below:

Let me know too if ya don't mind, Don. Want to do this same thing eventually, didn't think a plug existed. Was just always going to patch the hole before painting the entire rig but would rather do it this way.

I'm not sure if I still have mine. That fender was caved in so it got changed when I did the waggy front end. The new fender came with a power antenna that powers up and down either with key on off or radio on off.
