Guess I should have been more detailed in my fist post! The red one I have is an 89 that I swapped literally everything from a 92 Cherokee. It's nice having the HO! It also had a small amount of rust on the floor so I took care of that right away. This one I plan on making a trail rig/crawler. I already have a rear Dana 60 with 4.10 gears and a spool locker. I'm just waiting on finding a front Dana 44 or 60 and eventually being on 37s.

I'll post some pics of the floor when I get to a computer!

The floor is actually the only place on the entire truck with any rust at all! I got super lucky!

And it's actually a j4000. It has an amc 401 in it. I'm still considering buying it! It's only 1500 and has an old school warn winch on it

Not too much of an update but I ordered a winch yesterday! And I'll be starting a front bumper build soon! I plan on putting the winch under the radiator for approach angle. I ordered a Smittybilt xrc10. A guy in my local off road club said he liked his xrc8 so I thought I would give it a try. I'll post pics when I start it.

Oh also I finished one of my half doors! I think it came out pretty good too

got one half door done, and the other is about half way there...i will finish it when i get more welding gas.

i think they look alright! if i could do it again i would have not let the door skin get so hot, it kinda got wobbly.

Thanks! There are a few really cool spots you just gotta know where to go to find the good ones.

I'll have a big update on Tuesday! My winch bumper is going to be done then! And you don't see the winch at all cause it's under the radiator :D

I haven't really been keeping this up to date, but I have got a lot done lately! got the bumper finished and powder coated, got my lift on, and other small stuff!

then Christmas came early! its Rubicon Express 7.5" cloils, track bar and bracket....for now its on my same short arm :fs1:  a long arm setup and one ton steering is coming soonish though!

Then i put my old front lift on my girlfriends jeep and got her shackles for the back...her 32s will be going on soon!

and i saw this sexy MJ flatbed!!! this has got me really thinking of making a flat bed for mine, only more of a crawler bed than a work truck like this one

Nope! It's built from scratch with .250 wall DOM tube and 3/8" plate for the bumper mount and winch cross member... built by yours truly (me haha) I can post more pics of it...the winch is tucked under the radiator.

We ended up welding a 3/8" plate to the frame and making the winch mount off of that, and the bumper is a separate piece. The winch is actually barely touching the steering box.

and i got the tires and wheels on my girlfriends jeep!

You might want to move the winch over a little to get it away from the steering box. The box does move around a little when you steer especially when your offroad. You don't want the steer box to wear a hole in your winch.

My winch is actually tucked in a bit further then yours, I had to offset the winch to the passenger side a little to get it away from the steering box.

You should also consider extending your bumper mounts back enough to include the steering box bolts, the stress on the frame from the steering box can cause the frame to crack in that area.

I'll keep an eye on the winch..I think it will be ok though...we will see. It's nit hitting the winch it's just barely touching the bolt on it.

I'll think about that with the mounts...I could just make the part welded to the frame go back more for more contact area. I might just wait to do that for when I plate the frame.

I chopped part of the bed also. I'll add pics later. I also went wheeling last weekend that I'll put pics up for in a bit.

pic of the chopped bed, it probably won't have a bed for too much longer... I'm really debating a flat bed!

i thought i had more pics of the wheeling trip but i guess not

that was a steep climb!
