How Does This Steering Angle Look?

Recommended Posts

Serious Offroad 1 ton steering. Under the kuckle. Drop pitman arm came with my lift. To make this steering set up work you have to drill the Kuckles and drop pitman arm to 7/8s inch and put a tapered insert in them. The bilsten steering stabilizer, steering stabilizer bracket and steering set up ran me about $600.

Angles look good. How much lift are you running?

Be sure to even your ends when you align it. You should have the same amount of threads showing on either end of the drag link and tie rod.

What happens if I don't?

It'll look wrong! I wouldn't worry about it as long as you know each TRE has good thread engagement. I suspect if one TRE had significantly more threads exposed it could be the weak link in the steering.

Where did you pick up the taper bit from? Any chance you would like to sell it??? ;)
