A 50 series Flowmaster would be a good compromise. I run a straight stock exhaust full length with only a thrush turbo, loud and peppy with out at cab, but lost the uump and got quieter now exiting out the 7 ft bed pipe. :shaking:

The Flowmaster 50 series adds an extra chamber to mellow out the loudness of a 40. Mine has a nice growl under load, but is fairly quiet at idle.

Damn, this is an old one.

If anyone is wondering what I ended up with, it's that same Walker. And it's still too loud for me.

Still too loud? Wouldnt this be a quite stock muffler?

I still find it to be annoyingly loud.

Hmm perhaps I should continue my search. I don't wanna spend money to be just as loud

I think the Walker is probably the quietest thing that will drop in. I still think it's annoying, but what I think is annoying is probably different. When I think "quiet" I really do mean that I do not want to hear the exhaust.

I run a magnaflow muffler and it’s alright. No droning but a nice little tone when under hard acceleration. I fought exhaust leaks though that would always be noisy for a while. The flange gasket and the manifold collector tended to leak on my truck. Since then I’ve replaced the exhaust and it’s very quiet until you get on it.
