MancheKid86 Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 so i went out today looking for work, i went to a place called transwest canada they are a bell certified training/over haul facility, they also do forest fires down and what not even down in Australia, i met with the Director of Maintenance who said that there was alot going on atm, and he had to deal with some things first before there was a spot for me. fair enough, so i told him id be in touch and hopefully see him again soon :P hop in my manche and he went up to the side of it, he asked, you build this thing? so i answered sure did from the ground up, so nexts words out of his mouth were, you start monday well have housing for you, so ill be working down in oliver which is super close to the us border so any one in washington wana go wheeling once i upgrade my heep a bit?
Keyav8r Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Good work, both on the MJ and the way you handled the interview!
Mountain Dude Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Congrats man, landing that first job after school is a big milestone! My daughter used to live in Oliver, hope you like the heat!
sinkrun Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Awesome that you got and glad he was paying attention!
Jerry Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Well done! Bet you never thought all the effort to build it would have such a bonus result. Getting a job out of it makes all the swearing, empty wallet and skinned knuckles easily worth it! Good to know there's another comanche addict nearby too, my favorite camp spot is just west of Oliver :)
Dedaw Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Awesome! Might have to make a weekend out of it, and head up towards Baker to go wheeling (once I get my truck all prettied up, of course).
MancheKid86 Posted April 24, 2013 Author Posted April 24, 2013 I am down, just need to rebuild my transfercase, Which will be easy to do in about 2 weeks time :P
JFAComanche6 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Nice. I'd definately go wheeling since I'm spending the whole summer in Washington, but the problem is I won't have my Jeep with me :(
