Been there. Done that. Make sure you've got yer @$$ covered B4 jumping tho. Do you have a talent or skill that is marketable to the public ? Or is it specific to your job? Can you start your new business up and work it while still keeping your job until you get income coming in? Have you done any research into the demand for your skill in your area? Do you have the fortitude to keep plugging away when the going gets tough? Or do you just fold and say to hell with it.? What ever you decide, GOOD LUCK!

Some really good things to consider, all those questions are valid in my experience. Most entrepreneurs fail their first time out, and second time too. Those lucky enough to pull it off have made it through tremendous personal sacrifice, created the right thing that people want to buy and had decent business skills. That's why I'm still working :brows:

I'm near vanderhoof and tayler rd.

I'm an hvac commercial tech, i can get a job anywhere. I like my office

Just the home office sucks no common sense.

I'm actually thinking about making comanche sending units and offroad parts.

I'm planning on starting soon.

87manche1, I too was an hvac tech in my past life (Tampa, FL). I too got tired of the same things you are. My solution was to go to one of my customers ( a hospital) and showed them how they could hire me as contract labor and save them money. The director of the hospital asked me if I minded coming on as full time instead, which I did.

My point being, that with your skills, you could easily build up a client base before you quit, so you can set your own terms, hours, and how much work you want to do, so you have time to pursue your other passions in life. Then you can ease out of the trade as necessary, but at least you have some income through out the transition.

Good Luck!
