Cool Phone Apps?

I swear there was a thread on this topic a while back, but cannot find it. :(  oh well, guess I'll start another...

I have now entered the modern age!  kicking and screaming mind you, but the old brick-of-a-phone stopped lighting up the screen.  so I got myself a Rugby Pro. :D  dustproof, water proof to 3 feet, shock resistant, etc.  as accident-prone as I am, I don't think I could get away with anything less.

anyway, now that I've got a phone that will do apps, I need some apps!  got a compass, an offroad GPS, handyman calc, weather radar, translator, protractor, star gazer, gas prices app, tapatalk, music identifier, bird book, Advanced task killer (to shut down any app I don't want running in the background), even an app that tells me wait times at disney world. :D

what else should I grab?

Pete, could you give a little info on the GPS app you use, which one, short description of how it works and how well.
I been thinking of an android device in lieu of a real GPS device. If I got to spend a bunch of money, I would like

to have something that does more than tell me where I am at or road conditions.

I'm not asking about devices, but the app, so we don't get sidetracked on apple, samsung etc.

That would make posting soo much easier. I haven't quite figured out how to do it well.

how are you doing it now?  what are you using?

I just get on my search browser on my phone and navigate to the site that way, them post like on the computer.

idk if you ever use it but jeepforum.com has an app that i really like. You could download it just to take a look and see what would work for us.

torque, a free OBD II scanner app... Just need to get the bluetooth dongle off ebay for $20, and you are good to go. Also, theChive. Since I know you and Carly like walks, there is a free dog walking app sponsored by Subaru that will track routes, miles walked, climbs in feet, as well as tell you the calories burned. Tons of free photo editors, just google to find the best ones.

I guess it's the mobile browser site. It's a simplified version of full site. Only thing I can figure out is the smilies. They are the best part. I have photobucket for posting pics with img code from the app so that's not a problem.
