ajamison
Thinking about selling my Comanche this summer, I traded my 1 ton YJ for it and some cash last fall, I know I lost a lot of money in the trade, and I'm just not too sure what I would even ask for this Jeep. Sorry if I didn't post in the right section, I guess this more of a feeler. It's a '91 4.0L 5 speed with a np231 with 4:1 teralow, 156xxx on the clock, currently has no rust, floorboards were replaced by previous owner. Original Dana 30 front has 4.10 gears, Aussie locker, Yukon chromoly shafts, vac disc block off plate, ARB diff cover. Dana 44 rear from metric ton MJ. Limited slip 4.10 gears, Tera flex disc brake conversion. ARB cover.(5) New 35x12.50r!5 Procomp Mud Terrains mounted on Procomp D window 15x8 black steel wheels. (Less than 600 miles on tires and wheels) 6" front coil springs, Rusty's long arms, Bilstein 12" travel remote res shocks, Rock Krawler double shear track bar, hydro assist steering by West Texas Offroad. SOA rear with Alcan leaf springs, JKS shackles, anti-wrap perches, no name shocks. LMP front winch bumper with Rugged Ridge 8500# winch. JCR rear bumper with unfinished but functional swing away tire carrier. Rock sliders (unknown brand) Bushwacker flat flares in the front (have rear flares to go with) rustys flares in the rear. Jet performance chip, jet coated intake manifold, Borla header, electric fan. Custom Quigleys rear driveshaft with less than 1000 miles on it, also have a spare to go with. Rustys engine skid, Rustys transfer case skid (needs installed)Fabtech bed mounted spare tire carrier. Clear coat is flaking on the front and the body does have a few dings. I'm sure I'm missing more but what do y'all think its worth?
Alexia
Anyone that has the extra disposable cash to buy a built up Comanche is going to see a well used, to them an abused, rig. NADA Guides lists the average used retail at $6,000 assuming the vehicle is in good looking condition. Take off one to two thousand for appearance and then add in two to three thousand for aftermarket leaving it around $7,500. It will still be a long wait selling at that price. ftpiercecracker1
don't get me wrong thats a killer rig, but i would say $5,000, tops. Comanches, unfortunately, are not real hot items, thats why you can still find them for 500-1000 bucks. I have seen a few go for more than 6k but they were pretty much works of art. Flawless paint and body with all the add ons you have listed. From an objective standpoint i think $5,000 is a fair deal with neither party making out like a bandit. If your not in a rush to sell you might be able to get $7000 for it, but like Alexia said its going to be a loong wait. Before posting to whatever classifieds you use i would highly recommend giving it a good buff and shine, people like shiny things.

ajamison
thanks everybody for the input. definately looks like it may be worth my while to have some body work done and a fresh paint job (good thing my best friend does that for a living)
