I use propane (LPG) for aux residential heating in the house and to heat the garage. Got the tank filled today and it was $2.459/gal; after taxes and fees it came to $2.60/gal. Just curious what all you guys are paying in your area.

I'm paying $3.15 a gallon here in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, not delivered, and that's the lowest in the area, I believe.  Little too far to head your way for a fillup, sad to say.  This is for home use by the way.  I think it's well over $6.00 a gallon delivered.  I feel like I'm being robbed.

I use 20 lb grill tanks to heat the garage get them filled FULL for $6.00 or my 40 for $12.00. My sister works at the propane place and I get her rate for small amounts.  Plan this year get more tanks and yard sales and stock up and use the wall heater in the house.

No reg fee. Includes 4% sales tax. The state requires a vehicle stamp for running a truck, or car on propane. Makes up for not paying road tax at the gas pump. Was $75 per year but I think they raised it to $125 per year. I don't worry about it because I fill up from the house tank. This is the cheapest in the state and part of it is because it's a CO-OP.

Ah, jim's messing with the new photobucket....lol

Don -  We get the propane 50 gallons at a time for 2.75 (plus 0.24 tax per gallon). No delivery fee if I get 50 gallons or more. We run two water heaters, two furnaces, gas dryer and (when on) two gas fireplaces. I set them up to auto-deliver once a month till the tank is full, then every other month there after.

$2.95 after taxes and fees.  I have (2) 120-gallon tanks for the house and (1) 120-gallon tank for the garage.  Had all three tanks go empty at the same time in late January.  That wasn't a fun bill.  Now, the heat pumps don't stop running until we get in 20 degree and below range - much cheaper to run those than the propane water boiler at the rates we have around here.
