you guys must have soem sticky friggin tires... blow a D35 behind a stock 4.0 on stock tires???

i know it DOES happen every once in a while... but it can't be that often.

i slam the gears around in my 4.0 with a BA10 and 35... it couldn't care less, different story for the tires though, the back right leaves clouds.

my bro's 4.0 is really about a 4.3. it was bored by the previous owner. plus we built a cold air intake, bored the intake and throttle body, and he got one of those electric turbos on it. so it's not stock, and he has 31x10.50 tires on that truck with a 4 inch lift. loves to lay into it :D we're currently looking for a 8.8 or dana 44 rear end for it.

It's called 'aggressive driving'. It breaks things.

I'm a teenage driver... i got that one covered

don't get me wrong, my D44 is waiting in storage, this peice of junk is going out the door... I'm just sayin its not THAT bad. just pretty stinkin bad.

in my previous comanche i toasted 2 D35s in a span of 6 months with the stock 4.0L I-6. along with one of those misfortunes the peugot tranny went too.

so would all of you guys agree that i should look in the direction of a "tru-trac" who makes it?

I blew up a Dana 35 with a 4.0 and 30" tires on a 2wd truck. Even the Peugeot outlived it. :D Popped open the cover and there were ring and pinion gear teeth everywhere! jamminz.gif

I've got a d35 out back that died behind a heavy clutch drop and a 2.5L!

spider gears are a mess.

one tire slipped, then grabbed, bye bye spiders.

I took it for the sare shafts, because I still have a D35 unfortunately.

the 8.8 is in the garage waiting for a rebuild.
