yeah the tree won that battle clearly

wasnt long before i was on the search for a new truck, about 4 hours after this whole accident i had a 89 lwd 2wd pioneer mj lined up for me to pick up. the next day my old xj was completly stripped to the shell and when i mean stripped i mean nick (dirteatr717) and i lifted it up and put it on a trailer stripped... yes i had a broken arm at the time of the build.....

did you weld that straidhgt to the rocker??

yes i did and its welded on the bottom too, i cut the lower portion out so i had about a 2" shelf where i layed the back of the 2x6 in to support it and welded it, just have to be carefu when welding it to the sheet metal my lincoln 140 mig on setting C with the wire speed at 5 burned the 3/16 nicely an didnt do that much damage at all to the sheet metal. just welded it in portions.

anyways my next update is i finally got my clayton 6.5" coils in today  no more sag!

I love your long bed build!

I'm going to be building one soon. My old XJ is about to fall apart, the body has broken welds and cracks everywhere even with the Detours stiffeners. I twist this thing up way too often!

I only have 2 seats left in it now anyway so a truck will fit what i do just fine. the whole back end is storage for tools and spares.

I was wondering how a Logans bumper would look on a MJ and i like it!

Here is my donor XJ, I will be swapping a MJ over to all of the 96 OBD2 system as well as all the goodies underneath

Question. What "performance computer" did you have? This interests me cause when i rebuild my motor I'm gonna do a cam and mild porting and i want the tune to be spot on for the small upgrades.

I just don't think a "chip" is gonna do it. I will likely end up with AEM ems and my own harness and a sweet tune. But thats quite a chunk of cash i could spend somewhere else and leave the stock motor alone. I'm quite happy with its power level now.

Cool thread tho man. Love the "manch with a quickness"

haha it is i hate rustys so much, theyre customer service sucks and rusty himself is a stuck up corn dick

Bretts looking for a Longbed cap! Anybody in the northeast got one they wanna sell or trade? Also witnessed brett get completely slideways in a Wendy's parking lot tonight using the skinny pedal hahahah

if u google it u will find a thread on naxja about it, its a bendix ecu just has a diferent part number

sorry i havent updated this thread in a while, hurricane created alot of work for me but however i didnt leave the mj alone,

since the build ive been having problems with the torque converter not locking up, i don't know why or if theyre is a fuse i can't find or break in the wire but it won't lock up, so i ran a switch and installed it next to my power comfort switch and wham. locks right up! no more 2800 at 65mph! i aso got my axle situation situated, here's the specs

front dana 44 from a early pre 78 bronco , chromoly shafts, arb air locker, complete offroad 1ton DIY chevy steering kit, 4:56 gears

rear mj 44 alloy usa dual bolt pattern chromoly shafts teraflex disk break kit and I'm undecided on the rear locker yet
