Zenobian_84
Mine are in serious need of replacement, and since I was going to get two new headlights, I figured I may as well replace them while I was at it. After a bit of searching around, I found there is no specific Jeep replacement, and that these are "Universal Sealed Beam Adjusters" (Dorman PN: 42117) Would these be what I'm looking for? Also since I can't seem to locate my repair manual at the moment, how do you change these out (I'm assuming they're all changed the same way)? Just so I don't unintentionally screw anything up while I'm fiddling around with them. :thwak: Never hurts to make sure. :dunno:
Jeep Driver
These type of items are what I call 'pocket parts' at the local picknpull.

Haha, I know; but the ones at the yards are usually in much worse shape than mine!
Jeep Driver
Those are common parts at parts stores also. Got mine from a 98XJ......were just fine.

Dirteatr717
If you need one let me know! I saved 2 from my broken header panel and kept them as spares
aaronbtxnc
It's a PITA to replace the little plastic "sockets" that the actual screws go in to. I had my 9 year old try to help since her hands are so small, but ended up wedging them on a really long scredriver to get them in position. It would probably be much easier if you remove the light housing/socket thingy (the metal part just behind the light).
Zenobian_84
Do your's look like these: http://www.o.teamgra...screws&catid=95 Sure do Don. Are the screws and clips supposed to come as one unit? Or are they 2 piece setup?
Eagle
The screws and nylon clips usually come as an assembly. All the aftermarket ones I've seen were too short, and I had to buy genuine Jeep parts. That was awhile ago, and I don't know if Mopar still has them in the system.
