ftpiercecracker1 Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Hey yall, I know comanche made a metric ton package for heavier loads, but i was just curious whats the heaviest thing you have ever towed with your truck. As for myself, i used my truck to pull my 17ft all aluminum bass boat with a 70 outboard, i would guess it weighed about 2500 boat and trailer together. I've also had about 1000lbs of firewood in the bed, needless to say she was squattin a bit.
ftpiercecracker1 Posted August 26, 2012 Author Posted August 26, 2012  , how well did it pull it? What gears are you running?
Vintage Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 My brother was towing the Subaru with the Dodge, but the 2wd wasn't having it up that hill. The Comanche made a nice tugboat.
Vintage Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 4lo? Yep, made it look easy. The 2.5 surprises me sometimes.
Blue88Comanche Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I think the heaviest thing I hauled was before my MT springs, I had filled up the bed of my MJ with oak logs till I noticed it was on the bump stops. thankfully I was only taking it about 100 yards to where our fire was for Christmas one year. 4lo was mi friend for sure even with the 4.0
JeepcoMJ Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 4800lbs of scrap entombed in a 91 swb mj carcass on a tow dolly...with 2wd leaves and soa rear, 4.10s and 35s on 6.5" of lift.
Lee21490 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Little over 2,000 of dirt in the back. Thought my leafs were going to snap in half xD That was with my old 'manche (in my user pic) Havent really towed / hauled anything in my 'new' 'manche yet though.
