Make shift tools

I was going through some folders on my computer trying to find a picture and found a pic i took when helping a friend who'd fouled some plugs on his Integra. He told me "he had tools" this is what I ended up using to get the spark plugs out. I thought someone may get a kick out of it, as I smile each time I've come across my photo.

Does re-purposing tools count?

 

If I remember right, I was trying to get the intake/exhaust manifolds to line up. This was 10 years ago:

*sometime I miss that 4.2 YJ. Then I remember it was a 4.2.... and a YJ :rotfl2:

 

I also have a homemade crankshaft pulley installer at my folks place.

I remember a buddy whose dad had the old shovel up there one time. You aren't alone! :yes:

 

That Jeep would have been some good Jurassic Park material there. I love the 4.2, and I would the YJ... if there was such a thing as finding one under 3k here in FL. :ack:

I got tired of trying to find a good ground point when trouble shooting a Jeep. The latest being a '95ZJ. The rear windows would take turns working or not working. Took a 20 foot 12 gauge electric cord and attached two alligator clips to one end big enough to clamp onto the battery terminals. Painted one Red and the other Black. For obvious reason. On the other end I attached a female banana jack to the same wire with the Red clip. On the other wire I attached a small alligator clip. Now no matter where I'm at or what I need, I have a good ground and if needed, a 12V source. :wrench:
