Caravan rear valve cover

Mitchell repair says to remove the wiper module, plug wires, and the alternator. I did one not long ago, with a 3.3 and I did take the wiper module off to do it. I think you have to take the wiper arms off first, then a half dozen screws to get the top cover off, then some 10 mm wrench size screws. unhook the washer hose and lift the whole works off.

what is prompting all these removals? :dunno:

Everything is crammed together and the rear valve cover is right under the windshield wipers. Front wheel drive vehicles tend to have really cramped engine bays in my (limited) experience.

Yes leaking quite bad when I sit at a stop sign the smoke actually rolls out. On a side note is has a gas smell but no leak that I can find. I have been told that its the pressure reg you guys have any thoughts. And good idea on the tune up I doubt it was ever done since new I know the old owner.

I didnt think they still used the 3.0 in 98, but after looking it up on Chrysler tech connect, it does appear to have been an option. I agree with the wiper cowl removal. it really isnt bad to remove. Also, just for your information, the clockspring on that model has a lifetime replacement warranty from the dealer. So if your horn ever stops working, or your cruise control stops working, you can take it in for a new free clockspring. I have probably replaced a hundred of them. Good luck.
