bedside patch panels are the best we get. :(

Okay thanks, I saw the sticky at the top but as you said, only mentioned side panels.

JC Whitney used to sell repair panels for the bed floor -- but I've NEVER seen an MJ bed with rust holes in the floor. What we really need is a source for tailgates.

Shop around. I've seen them asking anywhere from $75 to $450 for just the bed.

The tailgate is pretty easy to build if you have an old one for a template and hardware.

I'll get my son to snap a pic of it since it's on my old '86 in Canada.

 

:yes: PS: I was a welder fitter on the Alaska pipeline back in the '70s.
