NJMJ87
Hey guys, Been around here on the forum before while i had my 92, but sold that in 09. And now I'm back with an 87/4.0/4x4/Auto short bed! Only have one picture of it so far. It definitely has it share of work. Rust is a minimal from what I can see. The p/o seems to hit somthing with the driver side front end. And the driver side door needs attention. Ive got a ford 8.8 waiting for it, 35s on d windows, and plan on parting out my lifted cherokee to fund long arms after the holidays. Paul Bruchal
Gonna run 35"s, this will be a fun build to watch! How big is your lifted Cherokee?
NJMJ87
Thanks, I plan on doing a mild resto over the winter, than lifting and locking it. The cherokee is at 6.5inch cut fenders and 35s. Very mild build but I plan on taking this project seriuos. I want this mj to last
NJMJ87
Got alittle bit done yesterday.Removed the dented bumper. I Wanted to swap the cracked header panel and mashed up fender to a 97+ front end but in my area they don't come up often and are over priced. So I'm going to end up swaping it all from my 89 xj. here's a pic mid way of the tear down And this is what it looked like before I went in During the day I had time to pull the bed cover off to see what I would be working with. Not bad has a little surface rust above the gas tank fill. I plan on taking this compelety off. Sand/primer than bedliner the inside of it. At the same time por 15 or primer the unibody/frame. NJMJ87
I'm still deciding either to sell the 8.8 ( set up for an xj) and doing 44/44. Only becuase ive heard the hp30/4.88 don't like 35s. :???:
NJMJ87
Swapped over everything last night. Next on the list is to swap out the non working doors for some craigslist doors I recenlty picked up and order new locks for them and tuck the vaccum canister up. Also try and troubleshoot why the turn signals, flashers and brake light arent working :dunno:

NJMJ87
Little updates. Got all the exterior lights working. Swapped over a full gauge cluster from my 89 xj. Bought a flowmaster 50 for it. P/o told me the brakes were shot. This is what i find when going to put new caliper, pads and rotors. So now it runs, drives and stops.Have been test driving it and seems to be idleing high at stop signs after running it for about 10 minutes. Also has terrible idle at start up. Guess clean the IAC and work my from there!
