Silver88 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Went junk-yarding yesterday, found 3 MJ's( yes, I added them to the registry). One is an 87 with the black interior. Now, I know it's uncommon and somewhat desirable to some people. My question is, should I go pull it( I have no real interest in it myself) just to save it and about what should I pay. I did not ask about what they might want for the stuff. Second, on one of the other MJ's( at a different yard) had clear marker lights in the front. I don't ever recall seeing that before. Is this something special? They were nice looking, may go back and get them. Thoughts would be appreciated. Shawn

Silver88 Posted July 30, 2011 Author Posted July 30, 2011 http://www.quadratec.com/products/55208_9010.htm I've seen something similar on Fleabay. Didn't know if any MJ/XJ's came with anything like that stock.
fiatslug87 Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 All MJs/XJs came with amber side lights, clear are always aftermarket. There was someone looking for black interior parts in the classifieds wanted section, try to help them out if possible.
KYMJ Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Any of them have a decent gray carpet or rubber mat? MJ's in junkyards don't happen around here.
Silver88 Posted July 30, 2011 Author Posted July 30, 2011 Good carpets are scarce as hen's teeth. Usually they are trashed to begin with, or windows are either broken or left open and they get crappy from the rain/snow. I'll keep my eyes open though. Would like to find some nice floor mats myself.
88pioneer Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 I'm definitely still in on the black interior if you get around to it
Silver88 Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 Ive had a few inquiries on the black interior. Have to find out the cost from the yard, and then I'll go down the list.
