Theres a lot of cheaper lifts out there but you get what you pay for and it depends on how high you want a lift?
offroader461
Nice start but get rid of the crappy control arms and those retarded shock extension wanna bees....but overall looks like a great starter rig

AKMANCHE
Hey guys got the tranny goin in tonight also gunna look at tearing that old carpet out making sure there's no rot thanks for the tip.... hopefully the install can go in without a hitch but I'm exspecting at least one or two things to go wrong.... When i was removing the rear driveshaft i notice that the yoke was almost fully extended so i went to lowes got some longer bolts and washers sort of a make shift tcase drop down kit....let me know if i should do something else.... ya i am pretty sure its an old chief it was a dark red almost burgendy idk why they painted it military green but I'm thinking about stripping it all off and maybe going with a flat black...not to sure yet but that whole rhino line green is gunna go..... I looked at rocky road outfitters they make some pretty sweet stuff lil pricy but like its been said you get what you pay for....:/ BTW whats wrong with air shocks up front i mean the new lift that i might get would have hydraulic but never really seen a problem with air.. H3RESQ
Ya, I'm interested to know if those are actually air bumps...or if they just put a little spring in there to act/look like some sort of progressive bump. Is the wire suppose to be fill behind the bondo.....can't begin to say what I think of the last owners idea of body work. Glad its got a new and better home now! Congrats on the new ride. Looks like it will be a fun project, perfect for an air force mechanic. Hope you can use some of the sweet tools you probably have for work! glundblad
Looks like it used to be a Chief... Damn shame... What color was it originally? Rob Rob has excellent eyesight. It took me a minute to figure out how he saw it was a chief. BTW, those cab corners are gone but it doesnt look bad behind those rear fender flairs. A good bed is tough to find. codymanche
the thing with rro is it took them almost 2 months to send my lift for mine. also i don't believe its a true 6in lift. they send u a 4" coil and 2" spacer. all my friends have cherokees with 6" lifts, mine sits know where near theirs i mean almost but i don't call it a true 6". i got new 6.5" on the way tho from rustys cost 129.00 @ the time

AKMANCHE
Hey guys the brand new ax15 went in along with all new clutch kit..my makeshift tcase drop down kit worked rather well its amazing what longer bolts and washers can do for ya..pulled that ole carpet up and got a perdy nice hole in the floor so looks like ima put a new floor pan in....still questioning those cab corners idk Found some decent 31's a friend of mine threw my way don't look to bad...looking forward to a nice lil trail ride this weekend.....ill post some pics stat... I've decided to try to fix up the body a lil while saving for a lift...I have seen those kits that come with the 4" springs and 2" spacers I want a true 6" lift so I won't be doing none of that nonsense.... Oh ran into a problem with the exhaust the dumb asses welded everything together so I had to cut it off right in front of the muffler....well good thing I'm making pipes 2.25" all the way got a flowmaster super 44 layin around from working on friends vehicles that should add a decent rumble...we shall see that might just have to be a youtube vid ill keep u posted

Comanche County
I wish I had a Manche when I was in Alaska. I had an XJ but I couldn't throw important things in the back of it since it was the family rig. Things like 100 lbs of Red Salmon or Flounder and Halibut, or 45 Arctic Hares and 35 Ptarmigan and 20 more spruce grouse, or a caribou or moose A bed sure would have come in handy.
